I’m going to do a really short review of each book that I read this year. I hope it’s useful in even the smallest way.
This is the second time that I have read this book and I have no doubt that I will read it again, it’s that good. Daniels provides constant practical information on how to improve our environment to bring the best out of people in a sustainable, mutually beneficial and genuine manner.
This book challenges many of the traditional performance management theories and techniques with what I believe are very convincing arguments. He leaves the reader feeling better equipped to improve the environment that he has influence over in a way that will provide a better experience for everyone and not just ‘bottom line focused’.
I would strongly recommend this book, particularly for anybody that is in any form of management or leadership.
