Book review #11 for 2019. Dare To Lead by Brené Brown

Every now and then a piece of content, a person or an experience comes into my life at exactly the right time, and it’s not usually where I expect it to come from. This book is one of those gifts.

Brené Brown is an asset to the world — her work is improving how we view relationships of all types at a time that is crucial.

In ‘Dare to Lead’ Brown explores leading from a place of vulnerability, which for someone like me (6’5″ and 100kg’s) has not always been my default mode. She provides plenty of practical examples on how to bring this powerful and supportive style into our daily lives as leaders, spouses parents, friends etc.

I believe that we are moving into a world where business leadership is evolving into being based on support and empathy rather than ‘power over’ and direction. ‘Dare to Lead’ is a great guide to begin to understand what this actually means and how we can apply it in our lives to help yourself and those around you.

I recommend this book for anybody that wants to improve their relationships, not just in business but in life.

I hope this was useful to you and I’ll be back soon with my next review.
